I think I drank too much wine...

I just signed up for my next 5k..... July 21st!!  have I lost my mind!?!?  I hope some of my friends will sign up with me!

I told Joe that I want to lose 20 lbs before my next race... is that possible??

I did it!!!

I completed my first ever 5k!!! And I even said it was fun afterwards!!  After almost 2 full moths of absolutely beautiful weather the skies decided to pour down on us during the race - we were soaked!  About 1 minute into the run I got a horrible side cramp, not cool.  My goal was to come in around 40 minutes, which would be a pace of 13 mins per mile.  I was averaging about 13-13.5 mins per mile at the gym.  But guess what... I made it in in 37:41.. a 12.08 pace!!!  It was a great experience, and I felt so proud after completing it.  Thanks to my friends for pressuring me into doing something I didn't think I could do!

Here is a picture of the running gang:

And a good old classic Kristin picture... I always go and screw up a good thing...

And we are considering running another race in July... let me know if you are interested in joining us!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Hey - guess what.. it's my 27th birthday!  Here is my day in pictures...

I came into work to see my cube had been completely covered in decorations... it was difficult to find my way into my cube, and then difficult to try to find a place to get any work done...

My cube-mate Kimmy bought me a lovely princess crown, and a giant Baby Ruth, I felt pretty special!

I got to celebrate with Petey P Cup, Pokey Syringe and Staci's favorite green tape dispenser... and yes, that is a video of Alan Thicke performing Sweaty and Hot on the monitor on the left in the background.  You can check out the amazing video here

I pretended like I was Marilyn Monroe, and also poked myself in my eye while wearing this wig...

We were planning on going to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner, but ended up getting Yang's sesame chicken #3!

My Sista and Dre bought me a 22 oz. Blue Moon

And then we had some delicious Tiramisu for dessert

Joe made a 'K' out of candles for me

Birthday Freebies:  Large milk chocolate mocha from caribou, free lunch from Noodles and Co, and a free blu-ray from Disney!  I was also supposed to have a free burger from Ruby Tuesdays, but I still have a week or so to redeem that...

It was a great day, and a great start to what will be the most amazing year ever!

Petey P Cup

Have you heard of Petey P Cup yet?  If you haven't you should probably check him out on facebook here.

Petey P Cup is the Official SpokessCup for HealthPartners.  We first met Petey at the Woodbury Days parade this past August.  Dre decided he needed to have his picture taken with the giant P Cup...

Today, I got the greatest package in the mail ever... my very own Petey P Cup and Pokey plush..
Is that not the greatest pre-birthday gift that anyone could ask for?  Kara has decided that she likes Pokey the best.  They are both coming to work with me tomorrow, I am pretty excited about it.  Did I mention that Petey P Cup and I have the same birthday!?

Happy Easter... a few days late..

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.

A few days before Easter Kara spent the day with Grandma Julie and colored some eggs... here are some pics... isn't she the cutest?

On Easter we were super busy, as we are with every holiday, and had multiple places to go and people to see.  We started the morning with a little Easter egg hunt at our house for Kara, she had a blast finding all of the eggs and her handmade Elmo Easter basket that her momma made for her!  It was so much fun watching her get excited with every egg she found.

After a much needed nap, we headed to my mom's house where we had brunch, found more Easter eggs and played outside... it was a gorgeous day out!  Kara, Jayden and Jayla were all so cute together searching for eggs, and playing with bubbles.. Kara and Jayla even learned how to drive the Power Wheels... that was quite hilarious!

After my mom's house we headed out to Joe's grandparent's house where we ate even more food and found even more Easter eggs.  I am about 98% positive that Kara did not consume any food during the day thats main ingredient wasn't sugar... ooops... does that make me a bad mom?  Kara had lots of fun searching for the Easter eggs and Easter baskets at Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's house... she is quite the spoiled little girl!
